Moose, sorry to hear about the Moose mobile. Question for you. The wife has been looking at those Fender/Body Protector kits they make for these. Would something like that, Appears to be a mount plate to frame and a steel tube that follows the body to a mount in the footrest, have helped to alleviate come of the damage?

She is looking at it more to protect her popo from when she scrapes the rare tree bark.

Thanks Again sorry to hear about the Moose Mobile.

Hawkman

One thing you could do is shut your gas valve off, while your going to get help.

RticKwad, it did shut off. Once I got it back up and checked that there was enough oil, I tried starting it. Turned over right away. It was only resting on its side, so I don't think anything else was effected.

BigBros, I don't think the body armor would have worked in this case. It rolled on its left side and the top right of the box hit a tree. That's what actually saved it from rolling more and doing more damage. I had bailed once I knew it was going over and was able to get out of the way of a potential full roll. It was about a 40 degree slope and the first part of bailing was a 5 foot drop. Must have been comical to see. It was one of those situations where we had gone so far on a bad loop trail that there was no way we were going to backtrack. The left side of the quad landed in soft sand so it was fine.

It did cut off and also cut off the circulation to my foot! Started right up after I had it on all fours again, well it was more like two while teeter-tottering back and fourth to make three.

Wow, you know it just happens soo fast. My wife and I were starting out on a trail.
And unfortunately this place we only rode a couple times has it as a 2-way trail.
Its kind of tight in some areas too. So go figure, we just started down the trail and
headed toward the turn, when this freaking idiot (Sport Yamaha) came busting around the corner
losing control headed for our front end collision. My wife and I reacted to throw our
Quads up this embankment on a 45 degree lean. Both her and I got leg cramps from it.
This dude buzzes by like nothing happened not even a "SORRY"!.

I told the wife next time let him smack our steal front brush guard head on.

Glad everyones okay!

Funny you should mention that RticKwad. I heard a MX bike coming up behind me. He was riding with a kid on a Honda Recon. They were in a hurry, so, after leaving them in my dust on a rocky streambed crossing, pulled over to let them go by. The little idiot on the Recon whipped through a puddle next to me and got my leg wet... I LOVE people like that. Trying to teach my sons to think about how their actions effect others and this idiot goes and doesn't think. I guess it's too much to ask sometimes... Yea really, its bad enough with all the dangerous of just riding our ATV's alone not to
put up with others stupidity. And anyways "Wheres the fire"?, Ya know. If something BAD
happened what could those who ripp by to put others in harms way really say.

From what I've seen they wouldn't say anything. They would just take off without seeing if anyone is hurt. People just don't follow rules which makes it hard to keep trails open. We were making two large bridges and had closed the trail that they were on to riders. People kept coming through anyhow. They had to go around us and through the brook to keep going down the trail. Finally, a MXer came through and proceeded to go through the brook. He decided it wasn't cool to put his feet down and kept them on the pegs. He nudged a submerged rock and just tipped over in slow motion. Got his whole left side wet. Nothing got hurt but his pride and a soaked riding outfit. It was great entertainment after seeing everyone come down the closed trail.
