i hit a deer on my atv going down trails out in the forest, lol!

Once on my scrammy, When I was 16,
I was ripping thru the woods at night,
I was comming down a hill with thick brush on either side of the trail right to the edge.

Out of no where this huge buck jumps accross the trail in front of me, only inches from my
bumper, scared the **** out of me.

 

ya, thats about the same way it happened to me, but it wasnt at night. another time i was going down another trail like that in the same area and ALMOST hit a big black bear in the same way!

 

Another Good one..

2 weekends ago, me and my friend rob from upstate a bit (friend form college)
brought his 400 arctic cat down, and my friend chris were re assembling the scrambler.
It lived!
So, when we have half of the plastic still off of it, no floor boards,
just got it started after sitting almost a year,
we were standing on the grab bar putting it around my yard, smitten with our success on
rebuilding this monster.

So we get the plastic on, the grab bar on (thank god) rear rack, floor boards.
And my friend rob wants to ride it around,
the smokes calmed down, shes warmed up, shes got a lot of power.
He gets on it on the pavement, WEARING SANDALS, no helmet or anything, t shirt and shorts.
Stand on the grab bar, BOTH FEET, and says hes going to do a wheelie.......

Me and chris just looked at each other we knew something was about to go down,
Before I could say anything, rob takes off, and pulls a wheelie,
well, the scrambler stood straight up, wtf did he expect?
Lands on the grab bar, starts dragging towards a parked truck standing up in the air.
Rob is still holding on the handlebars, and somehow gets it to just miss the truck..

all the time dragging his toes on the pavement,
he lets go and falls off quad lands unscathed.

Rob makes it into the house.. both knees are skinned BAD down a few layers,

half of his toes are skinned bad on the knuckles, his one big toe is cracked at the tip, and missing most of the skin around the knuckle, its squirting blood clear accross the bath tub, his other toes are all cut and skinned pretty bad to.

But it was ONE HELL OF A WHEELIE LET ME TELL YOU!

Hes alright now, just a little sore and a little smarter

 

Nice on the bear,
we were riding in a decent pack, 4 or 5 of us, and my friend in the lead came around a corner and a big ***
black bear was standing there, but it took off running, he couldnt touch it on the 300,
it just slipped into the woods like a ghost

 

Glad bears are skittish. Came around a corner there was 1 standing. He looked at me trying to figger what to do then took off into the woods

I have always heard never surprise a bear. Good thing
you all didn't have a confrontation.

 

probably no surprise, it smelled ya way before you were anywhere near it

 

Most likely heard us too. I think I was the surprised one.
