What causes threads to run off of the page?

What is it that causes some threads to run off of the page to the right? Does somebody have the wrong settings in their browser? What is the cure for this condition?

It's kind of like not being able to change your e-mail address. Unexplanable and a pain in the a$$.

I'm glad someone else asked that, I thought it was just my computer. I guess I'll stop trying to fix it.

When it happens to me I just go to another post and come back after...sometimes it works!

Normally, if the thread runs off the page I go somewhere else. What is really irritating is reading a thread which you have followed for a couple of days which is interesting then all of a sudden goes to the right.

it usually is caused by somebody doing this: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (or something to that effect) and the browser cant make a carriage return and start a new line

That's exactly it...should I do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!... me too? ahah! very annoying. A pain to read the 2 1/2 replies to this one.
