scrambler 500 trail tech speedo
#1
I just got done installing a TrailTech spedo on my '08 srambler 500. It's the "vapor" model (very nice). anyway, I got all the sensors hooked up and was setting the computer up and it asked how many ignition pulses per revolution. I assumed 1 pulse per rev but after getting things going the read out seemed a little off.
It reads that at idle about 1100 rpm, about 20mph 3800 rpm and tops out at 6650-6800 rpm. please note that the idle is set pretty low and at 20mph it just doesn't "sound" like 3800rpm. top end reading sounds reasonable but i don't have manual yet to see operating range of motor.
Is it possible that this thing has a varible pulse as the rpm increases? i tried setting the comp to 2 pulses per rev and it seemed way to low (idle 580rpm-top out at 3450rpm)
other than that I'm happy with other mods after some tuning. (Hot seat slip-on, dynojet stage 1, and k&n filter with air box mods)
Any help would be great. Thx in advance!!

It seems like the idle is accurate.
Edit: I deleted the rest of my post because what I said was either really smart or else just stupid. I'm not sure which but I sound stupid enough already. Just pretend I'm not here and ignore this. I need some sleep.
