Default Need info on Scrambler 500

I plan on taking my 2004 Scrambler down to the frame this fall and put on new rims and tires(RazrIIs). The whole quad seems to ride sloppy. I am looking for suggestions and recomendations of parts that I should replace. The upper steering is one item I will replace as it is loose and has play in the bushings. sprockets and chain are still in great condition and I just replaced the brakes on it. Should I need to do anything with the Engine? It still runs great.

Also any mods that I can do to make it ride better? Should I look into rebuilding the front struts?

I love the way my Outlaw rides and mainly want to give the scrambler a makeover so it feels sportier and lasts. I was also thinking of looking into painting the frame. How much does it cost to get a frame Powder coated(ballpark).

Thanks for any info!!

CHECK YOUR BALLJOINTS/REPLACE IF LOOSY GOOSY! Check tie rod ends for wear. Check a-arm bushings , rear axle bearings and seals. Plus check swing arm slack. Others will probably give their suggestions! Good luck

Thanks!! Do you know if they make a better top part for the steering arm(besides just the bushing)? I noticed the steering gets stiff every now and then.

If your talking about steering post bushings, just replace, not that hard. They USED to have a grease fitting!
