Default 2000 Polaris Scrambler 250 - Size compared to 400?

I have a 1999 Polaris 400 scrambler and am thinking of buying a 2000 Polaris 250 scrambler for my 10 year old son. My 400 seems too large (size wise) for him. Is the 250 the same size but smaller engine?

As a past owner of both, the answer is yes. The 250 should be called a Trail Blazer...still enough power to have fun...just not enough to get out of a scrap or go dunning.

The 250's are fun little quads and are good for beginners

The 250 should be fine for him. Good beginner. I have one for my 14 year old. It has enough gusto to make him feel like he has something (the two stroke noise helps the effect too). But it weighs a ton, so not too nimble....
