03 Predator kills when stopping
#1
I have an 03 Polaris predator and just recently it started killing when idling. Also when I'm driving around and I need to stop it will often kill as I stop. If I stay on the gas a little it will stay running but otherwise it usually kills. I increased the Idle which helps when I start it up and I also changed the spark plug but It is still killing on me. Any ideas on whats going on?

My buddies 05 is doing the same thing. He has the idle turned up real high on his so it stays running but so far thats what he figured out that works. Let me know if you find a solution, and I will too but I don't think he really cares and doubt he's gonna put any money into it to fix the problem unless he finds out exactly what it is!

well I'm planning on selling it and I want to make sure that its gonna run good. If I were gonna keep then I would just crank up the idle and run it like that. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried adjusting the ETC. If not turn your idle back down and tighted the adjustment, it's on the cable coming out of the ETC box and has a rubber boot covering it. Slide the boot and tighten the cable so it has about 1/8" play in the thumb throttle. This might be whats wrong. I'd give it a try anyway.
The only problem is that if that was the case turning up the idle wouldnt make a difference but it is worth a try

Im not sure what your telling me to adjust. I didnt see anything in the etc box to adjust but I did adjust the throttle a bit and that seems to help. Its not killing when I stop know but It is still chugging a bit like it might kill.
