my scrambler 500 4x4 is stuck in reverse,it went into reverse easy but when i tried to shift it into forward it didnt budge and bent the shifter linkage,also at the same time my steering locked up,will not turn at all,not sure what is going on,anyone ever have a problem like this.

 

i have 06 scrammy and had the same problem with the shifter on mine all i had to do was tighting the bolt that goes into the gearcase i havent bent it . you must of really pulled on that thing to do that. on the steering the only thing i can think of is that one of your drive shaft is frozen up mine did that when i got a hole in one of the boots and all the grease got washed from going through water. i am not a mechaniac or anything but thats what happend to me.

 

i dont think it is the bolt,i tried to shift it using a vice grip and it still wont shift,ill check the drive shaft too and see if that is it,but the boots are good and have noe holes
