Truck will start instantly & run forever if you pull start it, but it seems like it's not charging.

Rev it slightly & the lights will all light up as they should, still no charge.

Charging battery on trickle charger now to begin tests of elec system, anyone have an ideas/pointers to narrow down the search?

 

if you rev it your lights will brighten more than idle..this is due to the higher voltage when reved up...they dont charge much at idle...should be reading about 13vdc at the battery at idle..(put a volt meter on the battery when it is idling)..shouldnt be more than 15vdc when reved up...make sure the battery is good...replace it if is older than 4 yrs. just my 2 cents...

Probably the problem...Get a new battery is what I would do...Yah, if your battery is about 4+ years they seem to go bad. You should be up and running with a new battery.
