Default 95 scrambler-new toy needs help

I recently got a partially dismantled 95 scrambler 400 4x4 for free. Its missing the cylinder and the piston skirt has chunks out of it. It had been left outside for a year or so.

I think it would be best to just replace the entire engine VS getting a new/used jug and rebuilding whats there.

What will fit inplace of the 400. will a 500 fit without much ghetto fabbing? what years of engines should I look for as well? whats the biggest i can shoe horn?

where is the best market to find engines. I haven't had any luck finding anything for this yet.

Thanks,
Matt

Default 95 scrambler-new toy needs help

Thanks,
I have been but I want to make sure I'm looking at a size and year that will fit well without having to hack the frame to get it in. Does a '97 500 mate well?

Thanks again,
Matt

Definetly either rebuild or get another 400.I have ridden both and was unimpressed with the top end on the 500.400 the way to go.
