Farmer:
You mentioned Uni Filter. Do you like the Uni Filter better than the K&N? or are they both about the same?

It depends on your use. Both the K&N and Uni will flow more air than the stock filter, plus both are washable and re-usable. The reason I went with the Uni is because while the K&N supposedly berathes easier, the Uni is supposed to be better at filtering out very fine particles. I trail cattle quite a bit, running right in the fine, choking dust they raise up, so I went with the Uni. I swapped in a K&N from another machine into my Xplorer, and gained maybe 2 or 3 MPH top speed, so I could believe the claims. The K&N lets more air thru for sure. Whether or not the Uni filters better I couldn't say for sure, but just by looking at it, there is more 'thickness' in the filter media to catch the dirt. The Uni was about halfway between the K&N and stock for top speed, to give you an idea on how well it flows.
