I<m working on an 800 efi that spits and sputters at part throttle, acts like the throttle control is activating but its not, replaced the t-bap sensor and checked wiring to it, still does it, if you full throttle it it revs ok and it will idle fine but at partial throttle it sputters and backfires, new plugs ect. Any ideas?

 

Had the same problem with mine. Are you getting any codes in? Code 41 and 46?? Apperently there is a common problem with the wiring harness for the tbap sensor. Wires physically look ok but there is an issue in the connector from what I am told. Check out my thread for code 41 & 46 on the polaris category.

No codes showing.Looked at your thread, you replaced the wiring going to the t-bap sensor? I tkink they make a kit, I,ll see if I can test it.

 

Yep they replaced the wiring harness to the tbap sensor. But if you are not getting any codes in you issue may be elsewhere.

 

Can need harness kit without showing codes,WAITING on one now for an 07 500 doing same thing! Runs good for awhile,then stars sputtering. I've wiggled wires and will run good again for a short time!

 

Did some checking last night and found no continuity thru plug on the red-white wire, will get the wiring kit but am going to try to take apart the plug and see what the problem is.
