so will this tender work? I assume the battery is 12 volts.

That one will work, but I'd just go with the battery tender jr. they go for about $30 shipped or less on ebay....or you can go to walmart and they have something similiar probably cheaper, I think they're about $20...i picked up one for $12 on sale a few years ago. They come with leads that you leave attached to the battery, makes it real easy to plug and unplug your battery.

Sportsmans MUST re-charge. I plow snow all Winter and my winch sucks A LOT of juice along with the lights front/rear plowing at night. I'm quite sure that if it only 'maintained', I would have had 50 dead batterires.
Haven't had one yet!
