When you are riding in 2x4 turf mode then switch the 2x4 switch to 4x4 will the rear diff become locked like when you are riding in non turf mode?

 

thats a good question for sure. my guess would be no as the switch is only activevating the front end which has nothing to do w/ the rear end working but this is just a guess however.

 

someone here set me straight with that a week ago. it gets an override. put it in 2 wheel drive, hit the button and you will hear the click, do the same in 4 wheel drive and nothing. i was pressing the button everytime i hit the pavement after climbing a steep hill out of the yard thinking i needed to do that, i just leave the turf mode engaged now and switch from 2 to 4 to 2 again without any problems.

Why would you want turf mode in 4X4 anyways?

That would mean one in the rear and one in the front in 4X4.

i dont believe thats what he wants, he just wanted to know if it shuts itself off when just flipping the switch to 4x4 without having to slide the switch AND press a button. my yard is so small and steep i cant turn around without the turf mode, and i cant get up the hill without 4x4, so thats a lot of switching and button pushing if it wasnt disengaging on its own
