All -

I created a post awhile back and contributed to a few
for ideas on what products to buy to help
with some hand fatigue/numbness I experience
from time to time while riding. I went out and
bought the MAD DOG adjustable product and added
it to my SP800 (08).

Well I finally got out this weekend and for our long awaited
ATV trip and after riding for about 10mins, I pulled over
on the side of the trail and took it off. I don't think it was the
brand or product characteristics as it was adjustable and flexible.
I tried a few different configurations and such, I JUST SIMPLY
DIDN'T LIKE THE ACCELERATION FEEL on the throttle.
For the 800 it was too jumpy and I couldn't seem to eliminate
that and it was really too much hardache to put up with IMO.
And to be FAIR, I think if I had installed on my 450 or a 500 maybe
it would be a little different.

A little later I went thru tight pine wooded trails and I am here
to tell ya, I think it would resulted in a few mishaps and possible
injuries. The only application I think I could benefit from is if I
left my hand palm on it while on a long stretch on a flat rode at
a consistent speed much like a cruise control type situation.

DISCLAIMER:

The tone of my post is to be informative for those who may consider buying
these products NOT throw off on any brand or the product itself! To those who
use them with success and enjoy them God Bless ya!

Regards,

THATS THE REASON I dont like em! We will still sell them to customers,BUT I refuse to install them myself! TOO dangerous. EXAGERATES throttle response! Just as dangerous as the twist throttle I posted on about one our customers rigged up on his Sportsmans.

Yea I agree, I guess I didn't heed to the advice
before me cuz I thought I would make it work.
Afterall, a little different is better than hand numbness.

But for my SP800 , just too touchy. Could you imagine
if I ran a clutch kit? LOL...LOL

I bought one for my wife too. She left it on for about an hour thinking maybe she could get used to it. Once we stopped for a break she wanted it off, said it hurt her hand even more to use it and didnt feel like she had the control like before. Needless to say it's laying in the junk drawer (front box) of the Sportsman
