Default Blown head gasket.

I am going to look at a early model Sportsman 700 with a plow. I believe it is a 03 but will verify when i see it. The seller is asking $1000 and states it needs a new head gasket.

Since I have little to no experience with the polaris line, what else could be wrong that would cause this problem or what else should I verify is wrong or right with it when i go to look at it.

Any help you can give is appreciated, if all works out I may just become part of the Polaris family?

Well...generally speaking...most issues involving head gaskets are a result of the engine over-heating. Might look at the cooling system too.

Good luck...
