I just bought a '05 predator. I was just wondering what kind of oil y'all with Predators use.

 

You can use the Polaris oil, or you could save a few bucks @ go to your local auto parts store and get any 0w-40w, (which is what the polaris oil is). I use the Royal Purple Brand, I get it @ O'reillys. It's about $2.00 cheaper per qt. than the polaris oil. <span class="FTHighlightFont"><u>[b]Just remember 0w-40!!![/B</u>]</span ft>

 

Use the factory stuff and you won't have to worry about it. Only holds 2 quarts so the few bucks you save going aftermarket isn't always worth it.

 

IMO...just use the Polaris brand for all the maintenance items. They may cost a few $$ more, but keep your receipts...just in case you have warranty issues. Will help prove you are doing the maintenance...and using brand name stuff.

Synthetic 0w-40 any brand. 0w is needed so the cam gets oil quickly on cold starts.
