Hopefully I'll be going there tomorrow, my machine should be on the truck that is coming tonight. I'll have to look at the front box. I'm kind of thinking of going with a larger bag instead of the box. I don't need the storage for around the property, the rear is enough. But when I go elsewhere I want something larger, and I want it on the front as it makes steep climbs a little easier having the weight in front instead of on back.

Not sure yet, should know by lunch time. Truck was due in late last night or this morning, I figure I'll give it until noon or so then call 'em. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning waiting to open presents, lol.

you are right about the rad from the wheel wells. they do need more protection.</end quote></div>
I was just looking at the pics again that you posted of the paint job. I didn't notice when I looked in person,I was in a hurry had the impatient wife and kid with me lol. Anyway, please tell me that plastic grate with the large diamond shaped holes is not the only radiator protection?? I want to say my 800 had at least layers of mesh, any way it was well protected. If that plastic thing is the only protection no wonder it runs cooler, lol. I hope I'm just not seeing a finer, sturdy screen?
Thanks
Edit-went and looked at the parts breakdown, looks like that is it for protection...where I ride I'll have a stick in the radiator pretty quick. Looks like something I'll have to address, uhhgg. I'll add a screen of some kind. Then watch it overheat, lol. I guess that's what happens when you decide to be a guinea pig. Ok so that is tires and radiator protection so far. lol.
Side note-they actually call the fangs "fangs" in the parts breakdown, lol.

half the fun is working on it yourself man [img][/img]</end quote></div>
Very true! As for the tires, I don't plan on doing much mud riding, more hill climbs, fast fire roads and going over rocks so hopefully the tires will hold up to my style of riding.

HO- the diamond plate is where the winch goes so the rad is well protected from the bottom. it seems to be just the sides that are more open
700- i had to walk about a half mile to a friends house to get his bike and to pull me out
