Well I haven't beat on it really, but so far I can say it is not as jumpy down low,for the reasons I explained above, which kind of gives the 1st impression that it isn't as powerful but when you mash it there is no doubt it has more power. Like I said I hit 47 on a short stretch that I could only get the 800 to 40 max on that stretch. That is a big difference IMO. I've got another short stretch that is a little longer to check as well when she gets some more time on her.
Over all power delivery is alot more of a constant increase, and yes seat of the pants says noticeable power increase over the 800, but it isn't scary fast for someone used to an 800.

If you want something to pull your arms out...put one of these 850's in low range and mash the throttle. There is nothing subtle about that. Not sure if you've dink around yet in low range HichOctane....when I was test driving these, the low range was what blew me away. It has some serious power there...

One thing for sure, definately be careful mashing the throttle from a standstill, especially if you are on pavement or really hard packed ground!! It only takes about one quarter throttle to bring the front end up, and that is in high range! If you throttle it good from a roll in low, the front end will come up just as easy. I can just imagine how easy it would be to wheelie with some aftermarket tires on. Good times.

HighOctane,

Congratulations, Really nice machine, I don't own a Polaris anymore, but I put Ricochet Skid plates on mine in addition to a Jamhard radiator protector. Jamhard was the only one I could find that looked to be adequate. It is pretty heavy, but you couldn't damage it if you tried. Mine was an 07 700, but I am sure they make them for the newer ones. Good riding.

87 225 MOTO 4
90 Mule 500
06 Rhino 660 Green, digital dash, winch, bumper front and rear, hard top, Ricochet Skids and A Arm protection.
08 Grizzly 700 Camo, winch, bumper, rack extensions, Ricochet Skids and A Arm protection.
89 Harley $$$$ aftermarket stuff.

What are the warranties on the 09's? The site doesn't say ans was wondering if the bumped it up to a year like Honda and Zuki.

You need to host them somewhere like photobucket then click on the little picture frame up top in the reply box and paste the url in the box that pops up.

GE4x4, unfortunately still 6 mos. Polaris is running a Promotion though if you sign up for Camping World's "President's Club" before you buy you can get a free 2yr ESC. I'm still working on getting the form I need to fill out to redeem the offer.
