Default Scrambler grinding in Reverse

Anyone have an Idea why it feels like it is grinding in reverse when you are in reverse, hit the gas with the button overide on, go a way then let off the gas quickly and it feels like it is grinding. I have taken the from drive shaft off to isolate the problem. It is not the rear chain so I am thinking it may be the chain inside the gearbox slipping on the sprokets? It doent do it in forward even when you hammer the gas and get off, but in reverse if you burp it and get off ..... grind grind grind. I am concerned that if the chain is streched, eventually it will break a tooth and take out the cases. I am familiar with sleds and they use kind of the same clutch set up, but they have a chain tension adjuster. Do these not have an adjustment for when the chain inside streches over time? Also if this is the problem, would you recomend changing the sprockets as well as the chains? It looks like on the blow up there is 4 sprokets and 2 chains? Is one forward and one reverse? Like I said if this was a sled I would not sound like such a dope?
Any help?

the chain is for forward movement. reverse has two gears that mesh together. there is no adjustment for the chain once its stretched its time to replace. i dont understand the grinding in reverse tho unless somehow the gears have gotten stripped out. could even been that your shift forks could be wore and letting the gearbox try to grab the forward gear. if you have isolated the sound to the gearbox i would definitely get inside of it and check everything out
