awd not working

Default awd not working

hello i got a 2004 sportsman 700 my awd unit is not responding i jacked up the quad and tested it the display lights up but the front tires dont turn over any body got any ideas of what i might be able to check i also lost the cooling fan motor trying to locate a motor thaanks alot

Default awd not working

I had my 05' 700 efi AWD quit working... Have you gone through the diagnostic to see if the switch is working? Once in the mode you can switch the AWD on and off and see if it's the switch - mine was good. I simply removed the headlight cover/plastic and found that a wire had pulled out of the dummy connector; bypassed connector - works fine. Do you know how to check this? As far as the fan goes; you can disconnect the sending unit from the block... It's a plastic plug located on the block above your dipstick. If you unplug this your fan should instantly come on - if it does, you need to replace the sending unit - simply unscrew from block and replace. Good Luck!

if theres power to it you might have a bad roller cage in the front end. do a search and find all kinds of post on it.
