Default Rev Limiter Question

I have a 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500HO 4x4
My machine is cutting out during idle, reverse and forwards gears. If I press the reverse override button it solves it.
I think I am having a electrical problem. I have no neutral or reverse lights on the pod. The reverse light doesn't even come on with the reverse override button pressed. I think the cooling fan is also not coming on.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Where should I begin my fix?

Thanks for any help.

Unhooking this wire will make the cooling fan work?

it will fix the override problem. for the fan i would check your sensor first. unplug the two wires from the sensor that is at the top of your radiator and use a short jumper wire to tie the two wires together. fan should come on. if it does then probably a faulty sensor. if it doesnt then check to make sure you have power going to the sensor and if that checks out i would say your fan is bad.

All of these problems happened at the exact same time, so I was hoping to fix the fault.
