Default Moose RM3, Polaris Glacier 1 or Polaris Glacier 2?

Well, the plow came in yesterday and I put everything together and installed it last night. The plow itself on the Moose system is definitely heavier and I believe better constructed than the Polaris plow. As for the mounting system, the instructions leave a little to be desired in my opinion. There was no way that I could get the two middle bolts installed after the front and rear mounting locations were already installed even finger tight. I had to install the two middle bolts first, then once they were installed a little tight, but not quite torqued on I installed the front and rear mounting bolts. I then torqued everything down and got everything upand running. I really like the ground clearance afforded by this setup. And I'm glad that the mount doesn't take up any appreciable ground clearance, because there's no way I'm taking this bad boy on and off again. Overall though, I like the plow setup and at least at this point would recommend it to others.

Well - I in the past few weeks I got to try out the Moose RM3 plow setup. Plow worked great but holding in the Reverse Override button each time I backed up was a pain in the butt. I installed the Quadovator Reverse override switch and worklight kit last weekend.

Last night I got home to 6 inches of new white stuff to play in. Again Moose plow worked GREAT as did the Reverse Override and Worklights. Quite happy with this setup. I was quite hard on the plow (wanted to "test" it out) but I had NO issues.

I'll try to take some pics on Saturday and post.

Merry Christmas

In the spirit of what 5J's said, I'll report my very minor use of my Moose RM3 usage. We had 4 inches to get rid of the other morning. Certainly not much, but I had to give the new toy a try. The plow worked very well and it was heavy enough to get right down to the bare pavement. I kind of torqued it a little pushing snow onto a hill while lifting the blade and got the moldboard to trip. I was only in contact with the ground on one side while this was occurring and the plow did not come off the mount. It looks like we'll be getting 8 more inches tomorrow so I'll be able to give it a better workout soon, but so far my first impression is favorable.

To elobarate a little on my experience - I understand 6 inches isn't a "real" test - but I have a lot of area to clear, so I was able to bank the snow up to 4-5 feet - quite impressive to me. We are supposed to get "considerable snow" on Sunday evening. We'll see how that goes!

Couple pics of the driveway. I have an odd shaped driveway so I cannot get one pic of the entire driveway. Note: we got a few inches overnight and my plow guy beat me to the driveway so the plowing job includes work he did. Tomorrow we are supposed to gt 12-18 inches. I may try plowing a path for the vehicles to get out - but I think I'll let the plow guy do the rest !!

Excellent job! Amazing how much snow these ATV's can push. Love the Polaris AWD too... put it in Low Range and just PUSH the pile. LOL No stopping to lock the front diff or any of that... just give it some gas. LOL

Anyhow, after plowing twice in 24 hours, and with more snow coming tomorrow, I'm in the market for one of those "Reverse Overrides".
Did you install it? Easy to install? What's involved?
