Default '94 Trail Boss 250 2x4 Gearbox (gearcase)

Good day, everyone!

I was just given an ATV from a buddy of mine that has cancer - he decided to just buy a new one. He was cleaning out the gearbox and ended up letting the project sit in a bucket. I have the Polaris Manual he gave me, but it doesn't say how to assemble the gearbox. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I would be happy to send pictures if you'd like. I'm planning on testing my ability to spray ChromeFX or SpectraChrome on it after I get it running again, so this should be a fun project. I'll be sure to let everyone know how well it stands up extreme conditions.

what do you mean by synchronize the gears? that gear box doesnt shift gears except for Forward Neutral and Reverse. as far as i know there is no synchronizing them.

I'm sorry, I used the wrong word. I mean I need to put it back together. So everything syncs together .

I got all of the parts in a bucket, and the book I have doesn't do step by step.. and of course my buddy was drinking and smoking his medical marijuana when he took it apart so he's no help. I just need everything to fit how it is supposed to. The chain and everything is off of it.

EDIT: Assemble is the word I'm looking for. Sorry for that.

just look up a parts fiche diagram from one of the internet dealors and you can see the pieces should be pretty easy to tell where everything goes.

agree with above post. gonna be the easiest way to see which gear goes where on the shafts and which shaft goes where in the gearbox
