try a FMF or a LRD pipe, their much more quiet then then the loud HMF's. a buddy told me to try a HMF on my trx250x, he told me it wouldnt be that loud.... i should have smacked him in his lying mouth. then he told me that the COBRA exhaust that i have on it now made less sound then that hmf... BULLS#!T. that COBRA pipe is a freakin cannon, its sounds nice but could shatter glass... but i know the FMF exhaust line is a little louder then stock, but not to bad. LRD isnt much louder...

Actually, a pred will go more than 75. Some people don't believe me when I say it will run 80 if you hold on it on a flat, smooth road, but in all honesty, it will do every bit of 80. Granted how quick a quad gets to it's top speed is more of a thrill to most, people still like to brag about a quad's top speed. I'm trying to keep my top speed, but work on the low end power as well.</end quote></div>
No it won't. Not stock, there is a thing called government regulations. That is why all the 450s have damn near the same top speed. The acceleration is the difference in who wins a drag. If I get to 75 mph first, I win.
DeathValleyReaperm what are you talking about? "...the 450's lack the straight away power because of being tuned for tight turns..." The 450s are high reving machines. To take them on tight trails requires a lot of clutch work. You are giving some ***-backwards info.

first of all stoopidbot, the 450's where built for tight turns and light weight manuvers for the mx track, so if they were put to full potential on the straight away then they would run faster, but their geared a little lower for on the spot acceleration around turns and on jumps. and i was talking about in the long run not on the holeshot. a 450 isnt that impressive on the top end.
mx track = tight turns
its not called the 450 class for nothing.
that was the point i was trying to get across....

yea government regulations make stock quads stay under 76 and streetbikes 186 supposedly but who cares, if you take a predator cut the back of the airbox out,( 2x3 cut near taillight under seat) then use velcro and velcro an outerwear lid on it and add a pipe which id prefer the white bros or the HMF then get the jetting correct and they will smoke most bikes no joke, that alone will add like 8 hp or so i believe. and 450s are pure racing bikes whether mx, xc, whatever it doesnt matter. but my man bill balance on his yfz450 doesnt have a problem going through tight trails and cross country lol

I did not mean anything in an offensive way, My definition of tight turns and your definition are different. I don't consider MX tracks tight turns, granted there are some here and there. What I consider tight turns is GNCC style, 50" trails using 2nd-4th mainly. Some of the turns you have to drop into 1st to come out with any umph. It is almost like riding a 2 stroke on tight stuff like that. Sorry for the confusion!
Peace

Is it a b*tch to keep the front end down with the smaller sprocket? They claim the Pred has an "anti squat rear end", to keep the front down under hard acceleration. I have yet to notice this, especially in 1st gear. As for the increased rev, it seems to me like the stock rev limiter is really selling the engine short. It pulls like a monster, harder, harder, harder, then the rev limiter kicks in.
