Default using winch to load

I need to get a trailer. But til I do. Is it unsafe to use my winch to load my ATV? Done it a couple times already. I have all the right parts. I put a forged D-ring (3,666# working load) in the bed w/ grade 8 hardware. 8000# ****** block. I still use some of the grade in my driveway too. The Polaris ramps say tailgate should not be higher than 36". But that's even scary. Is this a dangerous practice? And please don't tell me I shouldn't have gotten such a big lift.

I don't even use my winch to secure the Quad to the trailer................Why do you need the winch if you have the ramps?.........Is you truck REALLY lifted?
Just make sure the ramps are attached to the rear bumper with straps so they don't kick out on you and causing the ATV to filp over............Caper...........

It's just for short term and when I leave the trailer at home in the future. Thanks for the feedback. It was worth the extra money going with American made products.

You ever heard of George A. Romero?

Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Day of the Dead (1985)
Land of the Dead (2005)
Diary of the Dead (2007)
Island of the Dead (currently in production)

Name ringing any bells?
