Default Help finding grease fittings

On page 73 of the owners manual , they have show some poor pics, of where the grease zerks are , but in the diagram is of the part stting in mid air.
The ones I can't find are 1 zerk on the "Transmission Upper Pivot Point".

The other spot is the "Bearing Carrier"
It shows 2 points, it appears 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom.
I have no idea where the bearing carrier is.
Can anybody help me learn where to look for these? Do I have to take the machine apart the grease it?
Thanks

You shouldn't have to take anything apart to access the grease fittings. Maybe the side panels but thats it. Sorry I haven't looked at a 400 HO up close yet so I can't help you with where they are. Someone else will though. Stendori has one of these, I'm sure he'll help you when he gets around to checking the forums.

Isn't a "bearing Carrier" mid shaft of the drive shaft?

usually on truck where the drive shaft can't go straight to the axle but has to elbow down halfway there's a bearing the shaft spins in before the elbow to hold it steady.... I always called it a carrier bearing..

Just got off the phone with my brother, he said he's seen some front drive shafts that had to elbow from the side into the front diff and had those carrier bearings... I'll go look at the 400 tomorrow, my dealer has a few.

I know it's not much help...

Thanks , btatum,
IWhat you describe is what I thought a carrier bear is for too, I've seen them on trucks but I can't find any thing like that on the 400. And then there is also the 'Transmission Pivot Point', what ever and where ever the heck that is.
Where is our friend 'Old Polaris Tech' ?

A search did'nt turn up anything as far as where they're at.

I never would have thought that on a forum as busy as this one that no one has a 400 and knows where or even if the model has the grease fittings listed in the book.

Sorry if you didn't get your answer quickly enough, and I don't care much for your tone. I did the hard work for you and found the Post stendori was referring to. I hope THIS helps in some way. I doubt I'll help you again unless you change your attitude.

Thanks, I never would have thought to use these key words, (07 Hawkeye & 08 Sportsman 300 & 400HO Lu... ) to locate the grease fittings.
No mention of the carrier bear fittings tho.
