Well I think I'm getting sissy and need to buy some handwarmers. What do you guys have and where did you get em??? Pros and cons, although I doubt there are many cons, other than price and over heating your hands. Oh and let me know what you paid too. Thanks!

Howdy Rowe....I got sissy about a month ago and installed the HotGrips 475-875-ATV and they work very well. I used a rheostat instead of the outboard resistor and the 3 position switch. I paid about 140.00 with all the trimmings. (rheostat, connectors, fuse block, epoxy and the HotGrips) At least this sissy has warm hands on cold rides. Oh yea, I got the hand guards too. 2007 500 X2 camo.

I picked up a set of Moose warmers at a auction for 17$'s. Wife talked me into putting them on her machine though. Have the hi/lo switch. Not as fancy as the rheostat ones. When doing light work in winter I dang sure grab her machine. Work nice with the handguards.

last year I bought the Hot Grips handwarmers, and this year I decided I was tired of my thumb being frozen, so I got a thumb warmer, and I'm going to install it this weekend,
If I were you I'd get them all in one kit, and yes they're expensive, but it's well worth it

Thanks, I didnt know they made a thumbwarmer too. I prob. will buy a whole package kit. For that kind of change I prob. wont get them for another month or so. Maybe Santa will bring me it!!! I'd like to get the same stuff for my 800 that I have on my 500. So it will be a long process of buying when I can but the handwarmer package will be first...

I got these last year and are very impressed with them...5 different heat settings for each, thumb and grips which can be run at different settings from eachother....Depending on what gloves you wear you'll always have the perfect heat.....

Bought some hot grips like NoJoke and am really happy with quality, instructions, and performance. Now I wear a light pair of "thinsulate" gloves and put heat on low.

I just checked em all out and they all look pretty good. I think I will go with the thumbwarmer too. Now my other question is do they seem more uncomfortable being they are a larger diameter grip? The smaller grips is one thing I really like about the sportsmans stock ones. I have smaller hands so a large grip tires out my hands after a day of riding. I'm sure I'll get used to it but I just feel like I have a lot better grip with the stockers. I may order a set tonight...Hey John, are the instructions detailed and any tips or pointers for me. Maybe even a How-To, hint,hint... Thanks for any and all advice.

I need a thumbwarmer but not handwarmers. If I could only buy one, or one at a time, it would be the thumbwarmer first. I wear snowmobile gloves and that works for me. I'm trying to get all my stuff installed this weekend or next week so I can ride next month. I want to do one accessory a day so I don't freeze out there trying to do it all.
