front shocks

Default front shocks

I have a 2004 polaris sportsman 500 front shocks are shot ,are they hard to change? thanks for the help

Default front shocks

they are really easy...i change my spring in less than one hour. But you have to take off the two bottom nuts on each site to pull the entire shock. The most difficult part was to compress your spring. I did it with two strap binder for compressing the coil....seriously is very easy...

Default front shocks

Have done it once. Had to remove the front plastics, needed a spring compressor ( have hard of some using a ratchet strap) Support the hub so the CV don't pull apart as it is a bugger to get back together. Remove top hardware loosen cup bolt on bottom. Remove & reinstall. Not real difficult unless you drop the hub.

I thought they are MacPherson Struts on the front?..........Not shocks!!......Caper............
