What do I do after getting hosed?
#1
I have a 1992 Polaris 2x4 Trail Boss which I traded for my tractor. No big deal on the tractor. it needed work as well! But anyhow, I went to start it and the pull cord spring broke. i then put a battery in it to see if the starter worked and it did not. I jumped the terminals on the solenoid, it spun the starter a couple of times but never engaged. Now I have no way to start it??? Do I rebuild it, sell it for parts or pull the whole motor and try to find another. it isd in pretty good shape and it ran well when it was running???

start recoil wouldnt be that hard to fix if you have a little mech. know how. most likely pull the elc starter off and clean it up and you might be able to use it again w/ a little TLC.

Get rid off a running motor because the starter needs cleaning or changing?
Kinda like getting a whole new wheel because the tire has a flat.
