Default x2 rear worklight/backup light

My 07x2 did not come with the rear backup light option. It looks like there is a socket in the rear tail light without a bulb in it. Does anyone know if lights can be added here? Is there an extra wire to that socket that can be tapped into somewhere upfront to swith the rear work lights seperately. Sure would be nice to have.

Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks Cscotter

I recall seeing topics on this too. But when I search rear worklight it only pulls up a few posts some on aftermarket exterior mounted accesories. Is there a better way to search, that I havent found {still exploring this site, seems like the best one out there]

sorry its been so long, but I can't rember how I did it, just look at the wires coming out of the tailight socket, and hook them up to a switch of some sort,I used a toggle switch with a rubber boot/nut to make it somewhat water proof from napa

let me know if you need more info and I can check mine out

my 08 was the same way but it was prewired for the switch(in headlight pod) and lights.you can get the kit(2 lights and a switch) from the dealer for about 25$ or do it yourselfwith after market stuff.the oem switch has a nice headlight pic on it.
