Mine stays in the basement when not in use,and gets covered up while not being ridden if on an outing. I'd say it'll take it awhile to turn purple with the added TLC it receives.

Well, that really sucks for all the folks who spent the extra bucks for the camo. A good automotive wax frequently might slow the process.

On a positive note... if Barney drives one, nobody will see him... LMAO

I don't think wax would work too great on the camo,it's a "flat" finish. I wish they made a UV block that could be used on surfaces like the camo without leaving a film or residue.
I think it's BS that Polaris won't fix the problem, I'm sure they could. I expect "fading" but changing color is a bunch of crap!

Polaris fixed nothing.

My local dealer has had two 2008 Mossy Oak Sportsmans for sale for the last 3 months parked on their outside display (taken-in at night of course) and they both have a pronounced PURPLE shade to them.

They park them inside at night next to the 550XP in Mossy-Oak (fresh out of the crate!) and I can tell you they look even MORE PURPLE! LOL!

I do like the durable surface the MO has. I owned one a few years ago and it hid all the scratches normal plastic shows.

Maybe the 2008/2009 come with Purple Camo.........So there will be no change in color!!...........LOL............

Why don't Polaris just do that......I really don't think the Deer and Moose will seee the differance...LOL.............Caper...........
