I highly recommend WARN! All my riding friends and family have WARN winches and
we have had NO issues! I bought my 2500ci WARN winch I think for $385 back a couple
years ago, it was for my Polaris (Not Polaris brand name) came with mount kit, rocker
switch, roller fairleads etc. all in one kit. The dealer carried them for all ATV sells, however
did NOT come with mine! I assembled myself and have now taken it on and off. no big deal!

The link I posted above is a WARN kit,just like RticKwad is talking about. Has the mount and wiring set up ect for a Polaris..If you check Warn's site they sell it thereas well
It actually says WARN on it and is in WARN colors. It isn't one of the Polaris winches supposedly made by WARN. The Polaris winches are no longer made by WARN anyway.

As for fitment I'm not sure. haven't kept up with the Ranger changes for '09,but the guys at Breese's could tell you for sure. I bet it fits.

 

They make a conversion kit that makes the 05-08 winch fit on the 09. It sells for $99. Haven't heard if they are going to do a rebate for Jan yet. They keep it very tight lipped until Jan 1st.
