Default Dec. or January Purchase?

Ok, I am the new guy looking for info. We are going to trade our Honda 350 for a Polaris Ranger. Should I buy now, the 4.99 financing for 60 months is the only promo or should I wait for possibly a new promo in January? Any inkling of what the promo will be in January? My gut says wait for January. Thanks!

WELCOME to the forum! I must sound like a broken record to many but GREAT place to hang-out, talk to some good folks, and get good advice.

As for the Ranger, I think 4.99% for 60 months sounds great. You more than likely won't get any better offer.

I waited for the Nov offer (wanted to buy at the end of Oct but was thinking the same way you are) and the offer got worse not better.

The XP850/550 interest rate went from 4.99% to a wolloping 7.99%. Needless to say, that killed that deal!

I also wanted either a 300 or 400 Sportsman and the rebates dropped almost $300. Again, needless to say, that killed that deal.

I'm not too happy with Polaris right now.

There is A LOT of competition in the side-by-side market. Be sure to expand your horizons.....that Big Red looks FANTASTIC......and you already know the quality of a Honda!!

Thanks. I did not know about the Big Red. It looks like that comes with bucket seats, we are looking for 3 passenger capacity (family use). Ruled out the Mule, to little ground clearance and the wife says it looks to much like a golf cart. We test drove the crew version of the polaris but they are too big for where we will be riding. Thanks again.

Oh, our other machine is a 650 JD Buck we bought 2 years ago when they were giving them away for $3750 loaded, it's been a good machine and the price was unbelievable.

I won't even go into my financing for my 08 500 EFI! I guess I was just excited and wanted my first machine. It's not really a big deal though, because I plan to pay it off quick.

4.99 is a very good rate. go for it now and if rates drop re-finance through your local Credit Union. They are usually very competitive on their rates and will give you more personalized service!

Oh I almost forgot to tell you,

Thanks, I am putting over 1/2 down so rate isn't all that big a deal, I would like a winch though and see that promo often. I really don want to spend the 800 bucks on one though.

winches aren't $800, and from what I've heard the Polaris winches are not that great
you can get a Warn for under $500

Can you suggest an aftermarket for $500 or under? The polaris website has the 2 winch options at $700 and $919. Would I have to buy a mounting kit in additon to the winch? Thanks.

The winches for a Ranger are more expensive than for the Sportsman, but you can do way better than list price.
Here is a 4000# Warn/Poaris kit for $612.75 shipping,$22 to me in NC.
Breese Lawn and Garden is very reputable also.
