Default Last of the night Shuttle launches

A bunch of us riders got together for this. The spot we were at was about 50 miles away.

I once saw the shuttle when it launched on a different trajectory that took it up and over the East Coast. It was neat. I take it you guys saw it from Florida??? Could you hear it from where you were?

Yes, as I was saying we were only some 50 miles away and the sound was delayed about 45 seconds but it was still loud. If you look at the link below, in the bottom right you will see the launch pads as 2 white dots. and we were sitting at the Scottsmore and I95 off ramp in the woods. Zoom in you will see some of the trails we ride here.

when the wife and I were flying back from our vacation in Cuba last Feb. we got to see the shuttle take off from the unique vantage point of our airplane.

I was a bit slow getting the camera out but I got to see it as it was lifting off and watched it punch through the clouds and arc and soar out of sight.
