Default POLARIS REAR SPROCKET

I was wondering if someone could help me figure this out so i do not damage the axle on my 96 Polaris trail boss. I need to replace the rear sprocket and need to know if the axle comes apart in two. The sprocket doesn't fit over the wheel hub, so i'm assuming it (the axle) has to come apart. Any help would be appreciated.

you just remove the right hand hub from the axle. should just be a castle nut a cotter key holding the hub on. the axle does not split in two. . you take the sprocket hub and the wheel hub loose from the axle and everything slides out the left side of the carrier bearing
