500 scrambler

ok hi how is everyone good i hope ok i have a 500 scrambler bought a new belt i have about 10hrs on it i herd a whipping sound and then found out my belt came apart i took it out and called the dealer and asked if it might be defective he said bring it in ANYWAYS i took it to a friend and he sais insted of buying a new one just turn it around and see what happens so i did went riding yesterday and it was fine until i real started pounding on her then i heard that sound again and sure enough it started ripping the belt apart could i of just got a bad belt or should i try a DAYCO belt dont know much about clutch it looks like it operates ok any help if so get back to me ty FARVAMAN

The belts are direction al once you install them.Always put on where you can read the writing.You never flip one it wont last.
The stock belts are your best bet.

Also the clutches have to be aligned properly or you will wear the belt too quickly!

This is not ussually an issue unless you have had the engine and/or the tranny out.
Most belt failures are from abuse like getting stuck,pulling or water.AKA smoking a belt
