LOL... Yea, to be honest I didn't look that close, and was just making a "funny". LOL Besides, it's been close to 30 years ago for me... cut me a break! [img][/img] Plus, I didn't have to carry one of the beasts... we a gorilla in the platoon for that. LOL

I know they made a "Saw-Box - Fat 50 caliber box"... but I don't think that's it either. I think that had a taper at the top. I don't think it's a 40mm grenade either... I was REAL familiar with them.

Whatever it is, I agree... good watertight storage.</end quote></div>

Just messing with you. I have no idea either, there are so many possibilites it could be anything..

I know.

BTW, how you liking your XTR's?

Also, stopped at my dealer yesterday. He knows my son is in the market for a new quad. He had a new XP850 that he just put together for the showroom. He let me drive it up from the warehouse and take it for a spin around the building and put it in the showroom. Even though it's still a heavy quad, it felt quite nimble and agile... at least compared to mine... very nice indeed.

Not to change the subject....but i'm going to change the subject. I saw a couple U Might might be a Polaris rider if jokes on here a while ago...and well, after par-taking in some frosty beverages last night i thought of a couple...

1. If you're riding with your buddies and they pull into the bar....and you keep goin to the gas station....you might be a polaris rider.

2. If your sport quad buddy says "I didn't think you could ride a utility quad like that"......you might be a polaris rider.

3. If you're setting up camp for the night and one or more of your buddies calls DIBBS on your quad......you might be a polaris rider.

Ok im done, sorry. Carry on.

Thanks HO, I hadn't got that far yet! I had to go out and feed the horses.
It's snowing here but I don't think we'll get more than about 4". Up north by the Canadian border I guess they got around 10" overnight, and still snowing!

Rancher-Sweet! I wish it would snow here..not likely though.

DCT-I like them alot but honestly if hadn't got such a good deal I probably would have went with more of an all terrain tire. I wanted to try the Terracross XD's.
With that said the XTRs have impressed me and for as much as they look like a pure mud tire they do pretty good in all situations I ride in.
The major down fall of that type of tire is roughness at slow speeds on pavement, and they don't grab large rocks and deadfall trees as well as say a Bighorn or a Terracross would.
I may eventually try to sell them and try the Terracrosses.
Another plus for the XTRs is it seems they would last forever.

Yep, that confirms my decision to go with the Bighorns. We ride in a lot of that type terrain... not much mud.

Thanks HO.

Yeah,Bighorns or Terracrosses would be your best bet. I like the looks of the Terracrosses,a little more aggresive looking than Bighorns. ATV did a review of them and raved about them..said they improved trail handling so much that they had to inspect the machine to make sure they hadn't put them on a machine with high dollar aftemarket shocks that they had forgotten about, lol. That was on a UTV..but as heavy is the Popo is I'm sure they are great on it as well...epecially the healthy XP. They claim the are the "perfect all terrain tire" for a UTV...(Haven't tested them on an ATV afaik) But they look like they would be sweet. Supposed to be pretty good in mud also. I imagine they are...they just look like a great all around tire to me,kind of in between a Bighorn and a XTR. They might be heavy though, especially the XDs,but I can't see them being any heavier than an XTR...they may be called mud"lite" but the are not what I call light, lol.

Yep, the TC's look like an awesome tire for my type of riding. However, at about $40 more a pop, I'm liking the Bighorns a little better. LOL Plus, the Bighorn 2.0 are considerably lighter. With the 26" Bighorn 2.0 and the SS 108 wheels, I'll only be a couple pounds heavier on each corner over the stock 25" tires/wheels.

Of course, I would expect the extra $ and weight of the TC's would making them a longer lasting setup... at least one would hope. Still, the Horns should last me a long time for the mileage I will be putting on the bike.

I can get a full set,(2) 26x9x14 and (2) 26X11X14, R/T XD's for $470 shipped,or I can drive about 30 miles an pick them up for about $40 or 50 less. The horns are $430 shipped. So the Terracrosses end up at $10 more per tire. The guy who sells cheap on e-bay,"ATV-Tires Plus" is near me. Rockymountain does want a mint for them though...$625 a set, lol. So depending on where you buy the Terracrosses could be alot more or not much more.
The 26x9x12/26x11x12 set is $445 shipped,25x9x12/25x10x12's are $415
