Hope you feel better.

I found a great price for the bighorn 2's. As soon as I hear that they will fit with the stock rims, I will be ordering.

I paid 800.00 for the set including lugnuts and shipping. My local dealer wanted over a grand for the same thing.

I've been seriously considering Bighorns for some time now on my 2004 SP700. The Terracross tires are my other possibility. I've heard of the BH2's but they are supposedly not as rugged as the originals so that takes them off my list.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>1. Bighorns provide very little traction on hard pack snow/ice and dirt/rock.I believe it is because of their hard rubber compound and small contact patch.</end quote></div>

Snow performance of the Bighorns is one of my top concerns. This is the first I've ever heard anything negative about the BH's in the snow. Everything I've read says they are absolutely excellent. Where did you hear this? Can you elaborate? I'd really appreciate it.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>3. The TC's are smoother on hard surfaces (road).</end quote></div>

Do you attribute this to their supposedly softer compound as compared to the BH's?

Thanks for any insight you can offer!

That is all hear-say. The bighorns are better in the snow than TC's. The TC's are supposed to be better in hard cornering because they are made for a UTV. That is all out the door when you go to a 14" wheel.
As for the BH 2.0's, I have yet to read a decent review on them. The softer rubber compound may be a myth also. Although they may be like the zillas. The BH 2's are still radial though, so I would bet they last rather well.

Just by feel the TC's felt alittle softer than the BH2's.
When I sold the TC's I had 650 miles on them,I couldn't see any real wear.I mainly ride BRF's area which has alot of sand.I did one run in the rocks and holes at the Dead Horse.I hacked my ITP rims pretty good but the tires performed very well.
Before I bought the TC's I read how soft and easy to puncture they were supposed to be.I never had any problems.I had the XD construction TC's maybe thats why.
This time I'm going with the BH2's because of cost and they run true to size,if not bigger.
