Bill, I installed a twin tube rear bumber. I got it from my dealer for 69.00. The bumper comes out farther than the pipe and protects it. If you have not called Dynoport yet maybe you should ask them about noise/performance levels between their cheater pipe and the standard one. Good luck with the pipe, sounds like your due a break.

Welexa,
The pipe was OK, except that it DID not come in at the correct DB sound limit for Michigan.I had it tested and it come in at 98 or 99DBs.Thats to much sound for Michigan standards.I called the owner [Rich] and he would'nt take it back, said that Dynoport has a ''NO RETURN'' policy. That was NEVER explained to me when I was talking to him about buying it?
I told him I was an ASI Safety Instructor and had to be spark arrested and inside of Michigans sound level requirements BEFORE I placed the order,he assured me his pipe/silencer was what I was looking for.Anyways, the pipe is sitting inside my Polebarn doing NOTHING,I'll give you a GREAT deal on it if you want it?
Currently,I have a modified PSI pipe w/stock Scrambler silencer on my Xplorer. It is fully legal and ROCKS.I had to do some modifying to the silencer with some brackets, but this pipe hits hard in the mid/upper ranges.I like it.

Bill,
Did the dynoport come with a built-in silencer? I guess the question I'm getting at is could it be silenced? Do you know the sound level that the stocker operates at? I want more power out of my machine, especially since 3 of my riding buddies now have Kawi Prarie 650's, but I don't want this power at the expense of being much louder. 10-20% louder would be acceptable, I think. Also, was there a substantial power gain with the dynoport? How much would you take for it?
