Yea I can lift it high enough so the skid shoes don't drag when the blade is angled all the way left or right![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I removed the bar on mine. Put in a quick link, hook into the link and works very well. Can lift quite high even when fully angled. Have been plowing for two weeks now with no problems

 

Here is a series of pics of my setup. In a different post I posted about bending my lift bar for the plow and the retainer clip on the winch hook. If you look closely you can see the gouges in the brushguard. Following suggestions from others I removed the lift bar and installed a quick clip. (I'm sure this clip is the weakest link - but it is rated for 350lbs. If it breaks I'll just get a heavier clip).

If you look at the last pic you can see how the plow's back support slides just outside the brushguard. I am thinking of bolting a block of rubber inside the plow support (both sides) that way when I raise the plow all the way the rubber will come up to the brushguard.

I don't see any need to lift the plow that high......When I'm plowing I just lift it a few inches off the ground....I guess when I'm stacking I lift it a bit higher....I think they need to make these plows sit further forward so give more room...Unless I take the brushguard off, Mine slightly hits the crossbar when angled to one side....

It's not neccasarily a need to raise that high - rather when you are pushing up a banking the plow rides up past the lift height.

The Glacier plow has a couple of tabs welded onto it that only let it be raised so high and then it's a solid stop. It should work with brush guards on too. It looks like there is plenty of room.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Hows the Moose mount holding up underneath the quad? Any bending or flexing?

Have you considered getting a machined fairlead for that synthetic rope? Those steel rollers might fray that rope prematurely.

 

I have noted any flexing in the mount - and I have hit a bank VERY hard. That what broke my winch hook, lift bar, and gouged my brush guard.

No need to get the hawse fairlead with synthetic if you use a NEW roller fairlead. The issues arises if you put synthetic through a fairlead that was gouged by a steel cable. Mine is factory with synthetic/roller fairlead and WARN sells their synthetics with roller fairleads.
