That's rolling Rutcutter! I hit 75 on mine once and it was still climbing.

What I like is how quick they hit 55-60.

polaris5610 a K&N filter will run you about $40 or so, eBay would probably be the cheapest place, if there on there yet</end quote></div>

They use the same ole filter that Polaris has used on just about every ATV since 2007 and several before that,PurePolaris part# 2871786,K&N # PL-1003.</end quote></div>

Not sure,as I took it easy outta the hole so I could hang on with one hand on for the cam.

i wanna see a drag between the AC thundercat 1000 vs XP 850, prolly the thundercat, but i wanna see how much of a gap it would be if any.

The 850 has even more power than the 951 but it weighs 68 pounds more (dry). It shoud be a pretty close match but if they're geared close to the same the T-cat should just barely win.

That is faster than I'd care to go on a regular basis.

I'm really curious about how ATV tires are going to deal with these kinds of speeds. Exactly how fast does one need to take an ATV tire before it fails? Anyone know if there are any performance guidelines that ATV tire manufacturers follow when ti comes to the speed rating of tires?

I've been wondering that myself. Once I heard that ATV tires were only good for speeds up to 50 mph, but that may have been just a rumor. You may possibly walk away from a 40mph crash without a scratch, but at 80 mph your impact energy is exactly 4 times as much.

I know common sense applies..
Generally I wouldn't think an ATV tire is made to run 80+MPH but most things are over engineered for liability reasons. Remember these are radials, and they have alot more side wall material than tires I have ran in drag racing. I'd worry more about the low air pressure causing a crash more than the STOCK tire IN GOOD CONDITION coming apart from a quick run up to 80. In the manual doesn't it say there is a speed limit for the tires. If you make a machine that runs 80+ and the tires are not designed for that speed you are asking for trouble if you don't plaster warnings all over not to exceed XX speed. You know how people love to drag companies into court now days.

I was trying to calculate the 0-60 from your video.

What is it about 8-9 seconds?</end quote></div>

Yea thats close but I was taking it easy outta the gate till about 19mph or so.. Im going to get me a filter and air the tires up some as I only have 3psi in the rear and I think i'll break 80mph this time..
