cold starting

i dont like using starter fluid im against that, i know what it does to engines not good.
Anyway thats probably what it is a combination of condensation and the battery being to cold.
It has a half of tank of fuel, the machine is brand new so the engine could be still tight. only 20 miles on it.

Nothing to do with it, it has got moisture in the fuel or bad fuel. As long as you have polaris factory oil in it, that wont be it. And the battery being cold is nothing, as long as it turns the motor over so the motor fires at least once the battery is fine. Every battery as small as a ATV battery will turn over the motor slow, that means nothing on a EFI machine. The starter needs to get the motor to pop just once and thats all the motor needs to get going.
I start mine at 30F below zero alst and it starts fine, turns over a bit slow but fires off and "lopes" for a minute or two and runs fine. My motor is new also.
Get some fresh gas, put a tiny bit of seafoam in the gas to get rid of the moisture and you should be fine.

This is my first atv, 08 X2 500 efi, and I started it the other day when it was -15 F outside. It has sat all day outside and I wanted to move it into the garage. My machine has started everytime, without incident. I have been treating my winter fuel with staybul (spelling?), not sure if that helps anything or not but the fuel sits abit in the winter as I'm not out hitting the trails for the most part. I need my machine to start in the cold for plowing and the ice fishing I use it for.

Talked to the dealer he told me that its to cold and the windchill was to high, -25C and its the first winter for these machines and they dont know.

Just how does wind chill have anything to do with starting? Inanimate objects such as vehicles are not affected by wind chill. That is a perceived feel to us. The machine can only get down to the ambient temperature. The only thing that windchill does to your machine is to cool it faster than without the wind.
On a side note my '07 800 started on Tuesday at -17 F and a 40 MPH wind... Still not sure who's big idea it was to go ice fishing anyway.
