ATP 500 Frount Diff Solonoid
#1
I have jacked the Quad up and run it in 2WD and 4WD but the frount Wheels are spinning in 2wd when i get some speed up , Im sure this isnt a natural occurance for the toy, and was wondering if anyone else has had any trouble with a sticking solonoid in the frount Diff, I have checked the electrical system out and all looks good but the diff locks in with out even any power supplied the solonoid. My biggerst concern is it will lock into fwd when im at speed and dammage the frount Diff. Greatly appreciate any feed back on this.

I had some similar issues with my '04 ATP.
There's no solenoid to get stuck. Chances are you've got a broken or defomed roller cage, or the spring clips which hold one or more rollers have had it. It's going to cost you some bucks to fix, or you can just ride with the ADW swith engaged, this won't accelerate wear on anything as the system still works in an on-demand fashion, but it will keep you from shock loading the front driveline while sinning the rear tires.
