850 vs 950

+1
I'd love to see what they do stock. I'd also like to see that they do with the same wheels and tires too. The 850 has more power but weighs more so it would probably lose by a little bit, everything else being equal.

Anyone know the weight of a 950 AC?
Here are some real world weights that CC1999 wrote in another forum...........
#1 - Can-am Outlander 800R XT = 776 Lbs
26" Bighorns / Less the XT bumpers
#2 - Kawasaki Brute force = 777 Lbs
winch/skids/radio/cast wheels / 26" terra cross tires
#3 - Yamaha Grizz 700 W/EPS = 792 Lbs
Cast wheels/ 25" Bighorn Tires / Winch / Skids
#4 - Polaris Sportsman 850 XP W/EPS = 832 Lbs
Bone stock
#5 - Polaris Sportsman 800 X2 = 930 Lbs
26" Bighorns / front cargo box full of misc cargo est. (25 Lbs of cargo in front box)

jumbofrank thats what i am refering to completely stock tires and all to see just how they perform in a completely stock form , after all that would be the true test as to which is of the 2 machines will run in their stock form ; i have seen the tremendous power of both machines but haven't seen both together competeing together one on one !
It would be interesting to see the outcome between these beasts once and for all to see what or whitch one really stacks up again't the 2 machines !...........

Real world is often different than advertised and it's not just the liquids.
Wow, HO, the winch, tires/wheels and brushguards added 60 lbs.! Sounds about right though.

Right, look at Yamaha's claimed weights... the 700s weigh 600# dry.
But they rate the 550,and smaller machines by wet weight? So the 550 is 648 wet,but the 700 is 600# dry.
So lets say the 700 is 15# heavier(generous,it is still a single right, and correct me if I am wrong(you know who) they are basically the same machine right? Only the 700 has a bigger bore...
Probably too much really..that is to take into account a slight possibilty of more metal, coolant and oil...
And they hold the same amount of fuel..That puts us at 663 wet, Give an extremely generous 100# for the added gear listed above and we are at #763..still missing a good 29# and that is if the cc1999's weights above were at a full bag of gas...
IMO there are alot of Manufacturers whose weights are basically bogus as there is no real standard...
Maybe they fill every cavitiy with compressed helium,lol..
I know they are lighter than the Popos, thats obvious..just not sure I buy that the 700 is 184# lighter than an 850..
Maybe one of the guys here wiht a Grizz that has weighed it will chime in..
Probably more like 80+ actually..mine is non-EPS..thats probably -15 or 20 just guessing.. I read somewhere the EPS is rated at 801 dry..
The wheels and tires add right at 30# IIRC,the brush guards another 35 or so and the winch what 20 probably? Fuel state is a big factor too and I don't see that listed in cc1999's list.
