Predator weight

I think you're right. I did some more research and it looks like the removal of the PRO steering and not using the Fox Podium shocks may have reduced the weight.
Thanks for your reply.

Your right. They got rid of the pro steering and opted for an anti squat rear end. This dropped a few pounds I'm sure. However, they (the manufacturers) have all been known to post weights that aren't actual. Or, maybe they have different scales than us! LOL!

i remember a shootout with the 450s where they used scales by themselves and diddnt rely on the manufacturers. and the only one that lied was can-am. their DS450 is heavier than advertised. and yes they measured dry i believe.

You might want to go back and check that article again. Almost all the published dry weights were way off. It was done ready to ride with 1 gallon of fuel in it and some of the weights for example were the KTM at 367 lbs, DS at 370, and the YFZ at 377 lbs. The LTR came in the heaviest at 413 lbs. So all the manufacturers were way off with their dry weights except for Polaris and KTM. The YFZ and Polaris ready to ride weights were within pounds of each other but their manufacturer dry weights are 15 pounds apart.
Yamaha for example claims a dry weight of 350 lbs but gained 27 pounds when adding approximately 7 lbs of fuel and 1 lbs of oil.
