believe this has been covered before on here.

We need to know the symptoms...does switch light up, or does the 4x4 icon display on the speedo?

Does 4x4 work in reverse with the override button?

99% of the problem is the front speed sensor

a) The switch does not light up and am not geting a 4x4 icon display either.

b) The 4x4 isn't working in any mode at all.

Q. Where would I find the front speed sensor?

p.s. Thank you for taking the time out to help me.

does the speedometer work correctly? if the awd icon isnt lighting up then its not getting power to the front end most likely. is the override working correctly? a few details of the bike and what it is doing?

The speed sensor is located on the front right wheel. Later today I will explain how to test your speed sensor to make sure it is working properly. I will include a diagram with instructions from the service manual.
