I have an Whelen L32 LED beacon on my Sportsman. I believe it's state law in Iowa that if you are plowing snow you have to have a visible amber beacon by 360 degrees. With that said I haven't ever been stopped or talked to not having it. But then again I don't go out and jack around with it either when I plow. I'm also a Volunteer FF so I guess that helps too...

Mine just sits on a blanket propped-up a little in the bed of my X2. I would like a 2' bar extention (prefer lock-and-ride) like hamman0512 has. Watch his video.

hamman0512 where did you buy the beacon riser?

If you want pictures let me know and I'd be glad to snap some. I went to the local lumber store and bought a 2 foot and 3 foot piece of pvc pipe, 2 1 inch NST threadscrew caps to go on the ends and 1 metal base that I just screwed into the rear plastic rack. Now the 3 foot rise was too high as it shook back and fourth and the 2 foot works perfect. Best mounting options I could think of for now

Ok I got some of your PM's here is the pictures. The wires coming out of the box are for the power and switch. I add something else running into the box before I added the extra cigerette plug, I just have had a chance to clean everything up yet. Switch on the left is for Rear work lights and switch on the right is for the LED or power to rear cigerette plug. Let me know what you think!

Haha you are funny. We got maybe 8 inches of snow total and 1/2-1 of ice before Christmas and it warmed up and it's all gone now!!
