Which Winch Works?
#11
Add me to the junk polaris Winch orange tag. Lasted 14 months and died on me. I had it rebuilt and now today it died again (7month late) costed me $250.00 to rebuild. If you ask me Polaris should give me a sweet deal on a better winch system.

As I have said before you get what you pay for! Warn or Ramsey if you want it to last!</end quote></div>
I agree 100%!!!!!!!!!

Brought my winch in today. Polaris is fixing it for free. Not like it matters it will just brake again. I tore the winch apart and the teeth of the gears were shot. Had power to the winch but did nothing

Ace1973, This is a GREAT time to upgrade. Before the dealer installs the new one, ask them how much credit they will give you for it on trade for the Warn.
It may work out like this:
WarnWinch Cost $400ish
PopoWinch Credit $350
You only pay $50ish and get the real thing!

I guess I do have one complaint about the Polaris 3500# winch--it comes with the synthetic rope, but doesn't come with the rock guard wrapper that most synthetic ropes include.
If my winch does fail, I think you have exactly the right recommendation, mtpockets : Trade the replacement in on a Warn.
