I understand that many don't like the tires that come on the XP. This was the first time I rode at this location. It is mostly along a High Voltage power line. I was by myself but there were 15 to 20 other riders around. I had no idea what I was getting into. The mud varied from hard packed red clay to the thick stuff with the texture of fresh mix of cement. I noticed some of the red clay hills had slide marks going down and shinny track where others where spinning going up. I keep the 4X4 on with the Active Decent Control on to learn how to control on the hills. I never had any trouble at all. When the tires would load up with mud you could tell it was spinning a little. Before I ever owned a 4 wheeler, I never had problems driving 2WD Rear Wheel Drive cars and trucks on snow or icy roads. I never understand why most think that once the tires start spinning they have to go Wide Open Throttle. The XP can be controlled with the throttle very easily. The low end power is very smooth. If you go to WOT, it's going to spin or lift the front off the ground. Don't matter what tires you have on it. If you have watched HighOctane video you can see this is true. I was thinking about getting the TerraCross tires, but I Think I'll wait now. The ADC system is awesome. Only time I used the brake was to restart motor when I had stopped. It takes some getting used to; it's like bringing a boat into the dock.
